The boys had fun, but they were exhausted

On Friday we went to get our tree. We have a family tradition of getting our tree and decorating the day after Thanksgiving. We have so much fun. We usually start the day by going to Lil'Grandfather to get our tree with the Holbrooks. This year, since we are in the apartment, we only got one tree for us and we got one for Ellie's room. (we usually have three trees-two real and one fake). She is excited about having a tree in her room this year.

They have a horse at the tree farm that the kids can ride and Ellie is always excited about that. They also have a Santa there. When Ellie say him she said, "Thats not the real Santa, that is just someone dressed as Santa. The real one is at the mall." However, she had to tell him what she wanted, just in case. (by the way, she tells everyone she wants a doll that goes pee-pee in the potty-stay tuned for more on that).

This was the boys first Thanksgiving and we were blessed to have Aunt Tami visiting with us. We had a relaxed day together. We bought a complete meal from the local grocery store so we didn't have to worry about cooking. =) (It tasted very good). At dinner we asked Ellie what she was thankful for and she said pizza. She was not very excited about having turkey and all the fixins'. Although she was excited about the apple pie.

Well, we are thankful for so many things. God has blessed beyond what we could imagine. (As He always does). I hope you all had a great day with family and/or friends.

Ellie wanted to take Auntie Tami to the park. It was so cold out (for North Carolina standards), but it was a sunny beautiful day! Ellie loves playing with Auntie!

Crawling

Babies are crawling all over the place! They are doing the military crawl. Connor is very fast and he gets very excited about going new places (such as the kitchen). Zander on the other hand looks like he is swimming.

Ellie had her birthday party at build-a-bear today. She was so excited that she had a hard time sleeping last night and woke up early today. The kids seemed to have fun. All the kids were able to pick out an animal and an outfit. Then we had pizza and cupcakes, then opened presents. Ellie named her kitty Purr, and she has not let it out of her sight. She takes Purr everywhere with her. She had so much fun! Thank you to all her friends who came to celebrate her birthday with us. It was a very fun day for Ellie.

Zander

If you listen carefully you can hear Zander say da-da, then the rest of the time he is saying ga-ga. You may also notice that every time I smile at Zander that he smiles back and then hides his face. He does that all the time, no matter who is smiling at him.
Monday, during physical therapy, Zander did the belly crawl two times! She really worked him and he hated it and protested most of the time, but he is learning and doing much better.

Happy Birthday Ellie

Happy Birthday to my precious little girl. I can't believe my baby is 4 years old today!!! We have been so blessed to have her in our family. She is so full of silliness, laughter, and love.

We started the day with the special cereal that she picked out at the grocery store. She was sooo excited that she got to pick out whatever cereal she wanted. She walked up and down the isle and then picked Cocoa Puffs (which she has never had before). So she got to have a big bowl of Cocoa Puffs this morning. Then we made cupcakes. (she wanted cupcakes and not a cake) When it was dinner time, she said she didn't want dinner, she wanted to just open her gifts. But she ate dinner, opened her gifts, and was able to play with them all before bed. A special Dora movie was on tonight so we told her she could stay up to watch it since it was her birthday. She was very excited about that.
