Come and take a boda boda ride with me!

Boda boda rides where fun, but there was more than one time, when we would start going fairly fast, that I thought how dangerous this was-especially without a helmet! God protected us! And boda's are the fastest, easiest, and cheapest way to get around Kampla.

There were many times we had to tuck our knees in for fear of another car hitting them. The boda's weave in and out of traffic and they get REALLY close to the cars. There were times our boda driver would just get on the sidewalk and drive, weaving in and out of the people walking. And many, many times we would drive in the wrong lane (in the oncoming traffic's lane) and then swerve out at the last minute. Fun times!!

First boda boda ride with Jade. Off we go!

Hugging the boda driver out of fear!

I love the boda driver's face in this photo!

Madison fell asleep on her first boda ride

So use to the boda's now! I miss being able to hop on one and take off!

It was never really hard to find a boda boda driver. You waive one down and they all speed over. Of course they didn't always know how to get you where you wanted to go. And I did have some run out of gas. I was there so long I was giving the driver's directions on how to get places...

Sanyu

This is the Sanyu guest house, my home away from home. We may not have always had running water or power, but I met some great people while staying here.

This is Joel. He took good care of us.

This was one of my rooms at Sanyu. I had three different rooms and this was my single room.

This was my little friend. I tried really hard not to remember that he was there!

This is the way we wash our clothes, wash our clothes, wash our clothes...This was really back breaking work!! I am SO thankful for our washing machine and dryer!!!!
