I am right there with you. We are buying a bunch of gifts through the World Vision catalog this year. 2 years ago we decided to sponsor two little boys our own boys' ages to teach them a little bit about need, instead of the "want, want, want" that modern Christmas seems to promote in kids. It changes our lives and our perspectives daily. Our boys are so different because they have a name and a face that they connect with and realize how very blessed we are and how important it is for us to be generous with others. Now we are involved with child sponsorship advocacy. The boys have 5 kids of they have selected to try to find sponsor homes for. I also committed to helping find 5 sponsors and I three left to go. Congratulations for spitting yourself out of the material X-mas and focusing on the real spirit of Chirst in our celebrations of Christmas. We still have many things in common despite the years and distance. Merry Christmas, Balts Family! You are a beautiful, blessed bunch!
