Ellie wanted to take Auntie Tami to the park. It was so cold out (for North Carolina standards), but it was a sunny beautiful day! Ellie loves playing with Auntie!

Crawling

Babies are crawling all over the place! They are doing the military crawl. Connor is very fast and he gets very excited about going new places (such as the kitchen). Zander on the other hand looks like he is swimming.

Ellie had her birthday party at build-a-bear today. She was so excited that she had a hard time sleeping last night and woke up early today. The kids seemed to have fun. All the kids were able to pick out an animal and an outfit. Then we had pizza and cupcakes, then opened presents. Ellie named her kitty Purr, and she has not let it out of her sight. She takes Purr everywhere with her. She had so much fun! Thank you to all her friends who came to celebrate her birthday with us. It was a very fun day for Ellie.

Zander

If you listen carefully you can hear Zander say da-da, then the rest of the time he is saying ga-ga. You may also notice that every time I smile at Zander that he smiles back and then hides his face. He does that all the time, no matter who is smiling at him.
Monday, during physical therapy, Zander did the belly crawl two times! She really worked him and he hated it and protested most of the time, but he is learning and doing much better.

Happy Birthday Ellie

Happy Birthday to my precious little girl. I can't believe my baby is 4 years old today!!! We have been so blessed to have her in our family. She is so full of silliness, laughter, and love.

We started the day with the special cereal that she picked out at the grocery store. She was sooo excited that she got to pick out whatever cereal she wanted. She walked up and down the isle and then picked Cocoa Puffs (which she has never had before). So she got to have a big bowl of Cocoa Puffs this morning. Then we made cupcakes. (she wanted cupcakes and not a cake) When it was dinner time, she said she didn't want dinner, she wanted to just open her gifts. But she ate dinner, opened her gifts, and was able to play with them all before bed. A special Dora movie was on tonight so we told her she could stay up to watch it since it was her birthday. She was very excited about that.

Ellie had a very fun Halloween. In the morning we finished making our jello desert. It was half blue jello, half green jello, with some candy worms mixed in. (I thought making the jello was a little better then cookies or something with much more sugar in it-and she loved it.) We started the evening with a trip to a local church festival. They had several inflatable things for the kids to play on. The kids seemed to have fun, but the lines were long so we decided to go trick-or-treating. Ellie had so much fun going up to people's houses. Instead of saying trick-or-treat she would say "trick-or-treatin'" when the people opened the doors. She was so excited about each piece of candy she receieved. She was even excited when she received pretzels. She would say "look what I have, its pretzels!" At the end of the night she stated that she had lots of candy and asked if she could keep the candy in her room (keep dreaming), then she said that she wanted to save some for Auntie Tami (who is coming at the end of November). The boys did so well! (they are such troopers) They were so tired, but they enjoyed all the kids around them.
