Aquarium & Put-put golf

The road opened today. Yeah!! (it was closed for a day and a half). So we took advantage of that and we went to breakfast and then to the Aquarium. It was actually a nice day today (little wind, clear skies) so after the aquarium we took Ellie for a game of put-put golf. This was her first time playing and on the 16th hole she had a hole-in-one. She was so excited. She kept saying "I won, I won."

Beach

The wind finally died down so we were able to go to the beach for a little bit.

Pool Time

We bought some floaties for the boys so they could enjoy the pool with us. I don't know if they really liked it, but as soon as we put Connor in, he started kicking his legs as fast as he could. He seemed to know what to do. We bought Ellie the dolphin thinking it would be fun, but it was very unstable and as soon as she fell in she wanted nothing more to do with it. However, she had fun laughing at all the adults who got on it and were tipped off.

Who is that brave girl?

Sunday was the only day that Ellie could go to the beach. It was too windy for the boys to go so the Holbrooks took Ellie with them. She was so excited to get in the ocean. What a difference a year makes! They said that when the waves hit her that she actually laughed. Wow!

Nor'eastern in Rodanthe

There has been a Nor'eastern heading this way and today it arrived. The wind has been building up and today we have 40 mph wind (yesterday it was 25 mph). Needless to say it has been too windy to take the kids to the beach. The sand pelts you and it hurts. (Glad we have the heated pool). Anyway, I will talk more about our fun time later and post pics of it, but onto the Nor'eastern that is here. Right down the road the ocean was running over into the road. Dawn and I went down and took pictures of it.

We are so excited to see our house coming together. It looks different with walls. I can't wait until it is ready to move in (which will hopefully be in November).

Connor & Zander

Here are two random videos of the boys.

This is a little of what is going on with the boys:

Both boys can roll and Zander rolls all over. As soon as I put him down he is gone. If I leave the room, he disappears. Thankfully I know where to look for him because he usually only rolls to the left. Connor usually stays where I put him. He is such a content little boy. Neither one is crawling, but Connor doesn't even try. Zander will be getting physical therapy to help him reach certain goals because he is falling further behind because of his high muscle tone. Connor is starting to learn to sit up by himself. Zander is getting it a little also. They both have two bottom teeth and Connor has one fang coming in and Zander has both fangs coming in. They are usually such happy boys. They are so much fun! (I never thought I would be saying that 6 months ago). They love their big sister and love it when she plays with them.
