Perseverence

At the boys school, each month they choose a character trait and then choose a child from each class from Pre-K through 2nd grade that exhibits those traits. Zander was chosen to receive the award for the character trait of perseverance. When I saw the letter from his teacher I could not stop laughing. This DEFINITELY describes Zander PERFECTLY! I wish I had a picture of Connor reaction to Zander getting an award. He was so excited for his brother!!

Meet my friend's Jade and Nathan

This is my friend Jade and her husband Nathan. I first met them in 2010, in Uganda. Their son was with Madison at the same babies home. What a blessing they were to me in so many ways!! I had the privilege to return to Uganda with Jade in 2012. What a wonderful family and I couldn't be more excited for them!! They have such a love for Uganda!!

New Years Resolution

Ok, I never make New Year Resolutions. BUT, this year I did. I REALLY NEED to learn how to take better care of Madison's hair and how to style it. She really, really, really wanted longer hair. So, I spent a few hours on an awesome blog made for us mamma's of adopted kiddos. There was so much information and videos on how to do everything. So, I bought some supplies and got started. My first attempt took over 10 hrs, but I have now braided her hair 3 times and this last time only took me 7 hours. (and yes, she sits for it very well) So, I may be improving and getting better. :) You may wonder how long it will last...well, usually 4 weeks.

It's so hard to get a picture of all my kids. Or I should say a good picture of all of them together. So thankful to Lindsay G. Photography for taking a LOT of time to try to get them to cooperate. And it helps that they LOVE Lindsay. :) (and Madison looks cold because it was very cold that day)
