Date with Ellie

I took Ellie out on her date with mommy. She wanted to see Brave so we went to dinner at Brix before the movie. She was so excited all week. She kept asking me, "mommy don't you wish it was Friday tonight and that we were going out tonight?" So thankful for being able to spend one on one time with Ellie. It was so much fun!

Madison

Madison is our spunky, cheerful, happy, sweet, loving, bouncy little girl. The girl is usually smiling and jumping just about everywhere she goes. She is a little fireball of energy, sass, and fun. Her eyes light up when she smiles and her smile is contagious.  She loves playing with her brothers and sister, music, dancing, playing with her baby dolls, playing outside, and of course jumping on the trampoline.

Today Madison said she wants to be a ballerina (she loves dancing) but in the past she has also said princess. :) She is a smart little girl and I have no doubt whatever she does she will do great at it!

Connor

Connor is our outgoing, fun, cautious, cheerful, sneaky and crafty little jokester. He loves all kinds of music,dancing, running, playing outside, and playing with airplanes, trains, and cars. He LOVES cars. He is funny and has so many silly facial expressions.

Today Connor said he wants to be a doctor. When I asked him what kind he said a baby doctor. I asked him if he knew what that was and he said no but that he just wanted to be one. In the past he had said a car doctor, or a big rock star.

Zander

Zander is our shy, sweet, loving, strong-willed, clumsy, curious little boy. He is also a little prankster. He asks about 100 questions a day (basically drives me crazy with them) about all kinds of things. He is so curious! And he always wants to know how things work. We wouldn't be surprised if he became an engineer when he grows up. :) He loves playing outside, playing with legos, and watching cartoons.

This time Zander said he wanted to be a fireman, but in the past he has said all kinds of things. He has said he wants to be spiderman, wants to ride a rocket, and wants to drive a boda boda (motorcycle).

Ellie

Ellie is my crazy, silly, fun-loving, sassy (very sassy), people person type of girl. Not shy, willing to ask anybody anything, loves playing with her sister and brothers, loves playing with her friends, loves to be outdoors, loves to color, loves art, playing with her dolls, or playing war with her friends, loves music and dancing and is so dramatic. My little fun-loving drama queen is growing WAY too fast!!

Every time you ask Ellie what she wants to be its always something different. Usually she just tells me, "mommy, when I grow up I want to be....". In the past she has said, baby doctor, teacher, mommy (says she wants 10 kids-yikes), bird doctor, veterinarian, archaeologist, or whatever it is they are studying about in school. She does love animals though and learning all about them, so you never know. She remembers the most unusual facts about things. Her teacher told me that Ellie was always bringing up little facts about things that everyone else had forgotten (including the teacher). She has a very good memory for trivia. :) She says she wants to go to college at Oregon State. Although I love my college, I hope she changes her mind. :)

Happy Fathers Day

Happy Fathers Day to the best daddy around! The picture didn't turn out quite like I envisioned, but oh well. I asked the kids what they loved about their dad and then we wrote up signs. (of course, because you couldn't read them, I had to do a digital overlay). Ellie said she loved that he read stories to her, Madison said she loved that he gave her big kisses, Connor said that he loved that daddy showed him his cars, (daddy kept his matchbox cars from when he was a kid and showed them to the boys one night) and Zander said he loved that he jumped on the trampoline with him.
