Hmm, where are the girls?

Ellie loves living here and part of that is because she gets to play with her friends very often. She loves it. They usually play outside or play dress up or house in her room. So when Lindsay came to get her girls and asked "where are the girls", my reply was "in Ellie's room". Hmmm, it is really quite. Hmmm. So upstairs we went. No they weren't in Ellie's room, they were in the boys room. As many of you know, the boys have a jack and jill bathroom in between their bedrooms. The bathtub was full (with soap in it-they said they were washing their feet) and Ellie and Piper had the boys clothes on. Piper looked for something that would actually fit her (the boys 2T stuff for next fall actually fit her), but Ellie just put on their 12 month stuff. I should have realized it had been too quite. Oh well, no harm done, just funny. (Oh did I mention they opened the boys tooth brush packages and used them-how could you not laugh).

As soon as I sit down this is what happens. I get attacked by two boys trying to climb up to my face.

"Zander and Connor may not"- by the way that drawer use to be packed full of CD's and how did the lotion end up in the drawer?

"Uh-Oh we got caught-we should have not been so quiet. Mom knew something was up."

What do I do all day? I chase boys and chase boys and chase boys and then try to get something done in between. If I am not chasing boys I am being climbed on and pulled on by boys. (Gotta love those boys). If the boys grab something they are not suppose have and they see me they take the item and run (well crawl) as fast as they can with the item. So, while I am chasing that boy, the other one grabs another part of the contraband and runs (crawls) in the opposite direction. This is why I am going crazy. Here are some pictures of my day with some crazy kids and a crazy momma.

Big girl bike

We are blessed to have my mom here for an extended visit. (she has been incredibly helpful). She bought the kids their Easter present early and Ellie got a big girl bike. It is a princess big girl bike. She was so excited, but she was also too scared to ride it. We worked with her a little, but she wanted to ride her tricylce instead. Then one day this week when she was going to ride with Gracie (who has the same bike), she said I want to ride my big girl bike like Gracie's. She got on it and did great. She fell once and got right back on (so not like Ellie). She is doing great on it.

OK, here are finally some pictures of our house. You will see why I am losing the battle of the mud! (I didn't clean first b/c if I did no one would believe I lived here =) ).

Ellie LOVES living here. She gets to play with friends all the time and ride her bike without worrying about cars (not very many cars on our road). In fact she loves it sooo much this is what she told me on Sunday before care group (where she knew I would see "Ms. Lindsay").

Ellie: "mom, you are getting old. I think I need a new mommy. Could you talk to Ms. Lindsay, I think she should be my new mom. And I think dad is getting old too and Mr. Gibson needs to be my dad." Can you tell she LOVES playing at Lindsay's house? It is the first thing she says in the morning and the last thing she says at night-"Can I go play with Gracie and Piper after this night".

First wrestling match

Well, the boys had their first wrestling match and the winner is....Connor. He was all over Zander, pinning him down, and Zander was just laying there screaming while Connor laughed and laughed.

We had snow (I know it was many days ago, but I don't have internet at home yet=(

It was so fun. Ellie had so much fun playing outside. She was able to go sledding with her friends. After a few times down the hill, the girls wanted to swing. We were all wiped out so Jeremy was kind enough to run home and get the truck to take us home. Ellie was so excited that she got to sit in the bed of the truck with the snow. She kept talking about that for days.
